As the number of people traveling abroad for tourism, study, working holidays, or business continues to grow, overseas insurance is no longer a luxury but an essential part of travel preparation.

However, even with insurance coverage, navigating medical services abroad can be daunting. From finding a suitable hospital and registering for treatment to explaining symptoms in a foreign language and obtaining insurance claim documents, accessing healthcare services overseas can be a stressful experience.

To address these challenges, Korea Assistance has launched a new service called InsuPlus. The name, a combination of "Insurance" and "Plus," reflects its added value: a package that enhances insurance policies with comprehensive medical support. The service is available for international students, working holiday participants, and travelers.

Subscribers to InsuPlus receive 24/7 support from trained professionals who assist with hospital reservations, medical interpretation, upfront medical bill payments, and claim processing. This ensures policyholders can receive treatment with confidence and ease, no matter where they are.

The InsuPlus Alarm Center is staffed by nurses around the clock, offering health consultations anytime—even without visiting a hospital. When needed, users can also be connected with specialists across 12 medical fields.

InsuPlus is part of Korea Assistance’s global medical support network and can be conveniently purchased online before departure. Visitors to the official website can compare plans from Hanwha General Insurance, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, and MG Non-Life Insurance. To celebrate the October 22 launch, several promotional events are being held.

For more information or consultation, support is available via KakaoTalk or phone.
