Biz Insight has acquired and begun offering the premium overseas travel insurance service Insuplus, which had previously been provided by its subsidiary, Flying Doctors, since April 1.
Biz Insight is a premium travel insurance provider that goes beyond simply managing insurance contracts. It offers comprehensive services designed to address medical needs during overseas travel, including 24/7 medical consultations, reservations at Korean hospitals abroad, claims handling, telemedicine, medical translation, patient repatriation to Korea, and air medical transport services.
The Insuplus premium travel insurance service was launched in October 2019, but it faced marketing challenges due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. However, the company has strengthened its infrastructure by expanding its global medical network, introducing an air ambulance, and recruiting skilled professionals from foreign companies.
Shin Dae-sik, director of Biz Insight, stated, “With the upcoming Golden Week holiday in May, many people will be planning their trips. Based on the infrastructure we have built, we will provide the best services to our customers.” He also added, “We plan to offer various customer promotions, including an Instagram emoji quiz and a 30% discount on service fees for the first customers.”
Biz Insight has also become the first in the country to provide up to 30,000 KRW in departure delay support (covering food, beverages, and lounge fees) if an outbound flight is delayed by more than one hour. With its focus on boosting overseas travel and providing a premium travel insurance service tailored to customer needs, the company is generating a fresh wave in the industry.
