Flying Doctors has entered into a contract with NOL Universe and is now offering overseas emergency care services, including 24-hour emergency medical support and air medical transport, to Interpark Tour's overseas package tour customers. These services are included in all of Interpark Tour's overseas package products, so customers receive the services without the need for separate enrollment or additional costs.

On January 31, an emergency occurred with a customer who had joined an Interpark Tour package. The 24-hour emergency alarm center at Flying Doctors immediately received a request for emergency response. An emergency response online room was promptly formed, and Chief PM Choi Young-ho, Director of the 24-Hour Emergency Alarm Center Park Seong-hyun, and Medical Director Professor Choi Jae-hyung, an emergency medicine expert, were invited to assess and analyze the patient's condition. The patient, Mr. A, had suffered a brain hemorrhage and undergone emergency surgery during a package tour in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

Professor Choi Jae-hyung began analyzing patient information, including blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, ventilator monitor readings, blood test results, and CT scan images of the head and chest. The appropriate mode of transport (airplane), transport timing, and methods were all considered.

The patient's guardian was in a state of shock, facing the reality of needing an air ambulance for transport to a hospital in Korea, which would incur over a million won in costs. However, because Interpark Tour had included Flying Doctors' overseas emergency care services in the package tour, the guardian's concerns were alleviated. The guardian expressed disbelief at the free provision of ambulance fees, air ambulance costs, and transport medical staff, which were all covered without any additional burden. After receiving the explanation about the services, the guardian expressed gratitude, impressed by the all-inclusive service, which also included hospital arrangements in Korea and patient handover to the attending physician.

Flying Doctors' overseas emergency care service is primarily composed of two key components. The first is overseas emergency medical transportation and repatriation. If treatment at a local hospital is deemed inadequate, emergency medical staff determine the most appropriate method for transport, including the use of ambulances, regular aircraft, air ambulances, or helicopter ambulances to transfer the patient to a hospital capable of providing the necessary treatment. All transportation services are provided as "bed-to-bed" service from the local hospital to the hospital in Korea.

The second component is 24-hour real-time medical consultations provided by emergency medical professionals, with support for medical translation if language barriers arise during treatment at local hospitals. These services are available 365 days a year without interruption.

In addition, Flying Doctors is the only company in Korea to own an air ambulance, allowing them to offer efficient transportation with their own emergency medical staff and air ambulances.

Given the high proportion of family travelers in Southeast Asia, who may have concerns about the health of elderly parents and young children, as well as the increasing demand for long-distance travel packages to Europe and North America among younger generations, the overseas emergency care service is expected to prove invaluable.

Flying Doctors currently provides overseas emergency medical support membership services and global medical support services to over 250 clients, including major public organizations such as KOICA, KOTRA, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as major corporations like LG Electronics, LG Display, and Samsung C&T. This strong client base has contributed to Flying Doctors' continued reputation as Korea's No. 1 medical and security service brand.

Additionally, Flying Doctors offers not only emergency medical support services but also security services, including safety support, disaster rescue, and urgent transport to secure areas, covering 180 countries worldwide, including conflict and high-risk regions.

Although air transport could have been arranged with a commercial flight, it was determined that the flight in operation could not accommodate the necessary equipment for transporting the patient. As a result, it was decided to dispatch medical personnel from Korea to transport the patient via air ambulance.
